Yes, it’s been a whole 5 weeks since posting the last update on how my “NPC Bikini Competition Journey ….or should I say… ADVENTURE” is going!
Let’s start off with TRAVEL FIT! On March 22-March 24 I went to Kauai with my boyfriend. It was our nice little “get-away” from our busy life in Oahu. Best believe that I still needed to stay “ON TRACK” when it came down to my nutrition! Yes, I was able to order some delicious food that were “on my menu..” but that was like 5% of the total amount that I had for the entire 3 days away from home. Guess what helped?!
THIS: My 6 pack Fitness Cooler Bag. My AMAZING SPONSORS dotFit provided me with this bag just a few days before leaving the island. Talk about PERFECT timing!
There was SO MUCH to take note of this time prepping for my 7th NPC Bikini Competition — the Stingrey Classic!
4/20/2014 —- anddddd I made it! The Stingrey is all done… that’s another blog in itself!! Check out my Facebook page already for the pics from it! (Www.facebook.com/BerniceFitCPT or www.facebook.com/Bernice.Aurellano)
This draft post I’ve been wanting to write is so OVERDUE! Here, I’ll continue what I wanted to write about “traveling fit.”
Here’s a video of the Kauai trip that my loving superman Rich made for us:
I had SO MUCH FUN going on this adventure. Here’s a little look at what I had to do.
I packed my food in zip lock baggies — enough for 3 days! I also put some of my food in the tupperware and brought my little food scale to take accurate measurements because I didn’t just separate every single meal:
We even had the greatest chance to watch the sunrise while eating our meals and drinking coffee.
Jet set on our way back after 3 days. I stayed the closest as I could on my meal plan! I bought my veggies at the Times Supermarket there and also my microwavable brown rice.
SO, IT IS POSSIBLE TO TRAVEL BUT TRAVEL FIT! Make sure you have your gear and meals ready ahead of time to make the process more simple!
On the plane, they allowed all the food that I brought on. Just make sure that your gel packs are completely frozen! The great thing about it is also that the hotel has a fridge and microwave.
HAPPY TRAVELING!! (And…. yes! I will be traveling more in the future… stay up to date and check this blog out ;)
